Editorial Services

Literally hundreds of lifestyle and reference titles edited and/or projected managed in subjects ranging from architecture to wine.

Before moving into translation in 2008, I worked for 10 years as a publisher for an illustrated-book publishing house in London, then started my own business as an editorial project manager and copyeditor in 2001. I've continued to combine my career as a translator with various editorial projects. Over the years, I've managed and/or copy-edited literally hundreds of lifestyle and reference titles in subject areas that include architecture, art, beauty, cookery, crafts, design, fashion, film, gardening, health, history, interiors, natural history, pets, sport, travel and wine and spirits. I’ve also copy-edited the translations of texts originally written in French.

Project management

From simply liaising directly with an author to commissioning editors, proofreaders and even designers, photographers and picture editors. (I have a good visual sense.)

New title development &
backlist repackaging

With a broad and creative vision, I'm good at planning new projects as well as finding new ways to use existing content.

Copy-editing & proofreading

Whether your text needs a structural edit, a light copy-edit or a final proofread, I can provide you with advice as necessary and help you polish and tailor it for your readership or market.

Anglicisation & Americanisation

I am experienced in rewriting British texts for an American readership – or vice versa – notably recipes, where differences are most substantial.
